An Apple is track 4 from the soon to be released Lowering Entropy. It began as a poem. I explored the idea of appreciation and snapshots of information that last for eternity and found a way to create a metaphor for how to live life at a high level. (Not the technology to get there, sorry :) That eternal moment of surrender to the senses, fully focused and simultaneously opened to experience at the being level- No sense of past or future but fully present and within the perfection of the moment. This knowledge of being 'in the zone' then needed a metaphor to make the poem concise and eloquent as apposed to a lecture on spiritual journeys, enlightenment and developing your consciousness.

I explored 'surrender' in the spiritual/metaphysical sense that, through semantics, I would translate as appreciation/acceptance so as to lose the false connotations of submission etc. Though in the end I kept the traditional word...for value :)
So there I was, I had an apple, a large concept and the need to whack it down on paper- Here it is....

Slow down inside and take a bite,
And surrender to your sense of delight.
