Phi, an irrational numerical sequence that has interesting and unique mathematical and geometric properties, manifesting ubiquitously in the natural world as both a proportion and a means of efficiency in building/growth.
Phi is the solution to a quadratic equation and is possibly required to understand the mathematics of fractal scaling though out reality. It was certainly a part of the calculations/solution of Penrose tilling and the 3dimensional quasi crystals with the ratio of the two types of tiles always approaching phi.
We have not really unlocked the secrets of Phi. We know it is deeply related to the number 5 (5 fold symmetry). We can see it, we can use it we can work with it but it is probably just the beginning. Enjoy the divine in numbers by Fervency
